I am in a serious state of obsessiveness right now. Blame it on a post I read yesterday at www.mattersofstyleblog.com about the new trend in brogues/oxfords. Amongst the posting was a fabulous picture from The Sartorialist (see above) of a girl wearing the perfect weekend outfit with her brogues. And I became obsessed.
Up to that moment I didn’t realize that I needed a pair of oxfords back in my life. Afterall, I wore them back in college. Do I really need to do that trend again?
Yes, ma’am!!
So versatile, so sharp, so easy to wear. I love the idea that there is another option for the ubiquitous flats. Although this time around I will NOT be wearing them with floaty skirts. On the yes list: brogues with cargo pants, boyfriend jeans, rolled up khakis and I’m even imagining them in a great work outfit of a pencil skirt and cute cardigan.
Now, to find the perfect pair…
